Knowledge Without Borders calls on Sharjah’s Emirati families to receive free books for home libraries

In tune with its constant support to enhance the habit of reading among the members of the community, Sharjah-based Knowledge Without Borders, KWB, called on all Emirati families in Sharjah who have not yet received books for their home libraries to visit Rural Councils with their family books, passports and Emirates ID cards to receive their allocation of free books.

“We co-operate closely with KWB to facilitate the distribution of books for home libraries to families by easing the procedures concerning timing and the documents required. I call all citizens in the Emirate of Sharjah to visit their respective Dawahi councils to receive their books for home libraries,” said Sheikh Majid bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Director of the Department of Suburbs and Village Affairs, in the Emirate of Sharjah.

“We seek to achieve KWB’s goals of disseminating and promoting the culture of reading among the members of the Emirati families in the Emirate of Sharjah. We want to make sure that every family has received its allocated library to act as an incentive for the family members to read and explore the joy of reading,” said Rashid Al Kous, General Manager of KWB.

A total of 250,000 books are expected to be distributed among 5,000 families in Sharjah before the end of the year.—WAM
